The 2020 Legislative Session will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8. Senator Bailey has assembled a diverse and talented staff to best serve the residents of District 29.
Christina Vigorito serves as the Chief of Staff for Senator Bailey. In addition to working in Annapolis during the 90 day Legislative Session, she works out of the District office often during the interim. The upcoming legislative session will be her ninth in Annapolis after having worked in the House of Delegates as well as the Senate. In the office, Christina is responsible for assisting with legislation, general correspondence, constituent services and managing the Senator’s calendar.
She spends her out-of-office time coaching youth soccer and is adjunct faculty at the College of Southern Maryland where she teaches continuing education courses. Currently, Christina is in the process of completing her MBA from University of Maryland Global Campus. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management from University of Maryland University College and holds an Associate’s Degree in Management Development from the College of Southern Maryland. Christina resides in southern Charles County with her husband and two children.
Lynn Delahay serves District 29 as the Local Liaison for Senator Bailey. Lynn is a dedicated, highly-valued presence at various events in District 29 representing Senator Bailey and is available in the District office on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. She is a life-long resident of St. Mary’s County where she and her three children, six grandchildren and one great grandchild continue to live.
Prior to joining the Senator’s staff, Lynn received her nursing degree and spent years taking care of our families, friends and neighbors. Outside of work Lynn directs the choir at St. Francis Xavier church, where she has attended all her life. Lynn also volunteers for multiple projects with Camp Maria Retreat Center. In 2018, Lynn was appointed by the County Commissioners to the St. Mary’s County Board of Appeals.
Matt Arnold serves as Senator Bailey’s Legislative Director. He will be focused on the bills that Senator Bailey is sponsoring this session and tracking other legislation that is being considered by the General Assembly. The upcoming legislative session will be his sixth in Annapolis, and he has a great deal of experience working with Senators and Delegates to advance their legislative priorities. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from McDaniel College in Political Science and Communication.
Also joining Senator Bailey’s staff this session will be Anne Spaulding and Jonathan Norris. Anne is a retired teacher who will be volunteering in the Annapolis office Wednesday and Fridays, and Jonathan is a student at the College of Southern Maryland who will be working as an intern in the Annapolis office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
